experiment2001-sr_ajedrez here is fritz analysis of this game. i havent dwell into it , but a rapid look of it shows it wasnt the most accurate game ever , but is gonna be fun taking a better look at it. i like to point out that as i was suspecting my position after at the moment of your offer was slightly better whith some hopes for winning play. did u were aware of it and went ahead of and offer a draw anyway ( maybe testing me) or did you see it drawish anyway?.

heres the Fritz analysis:

About the draw. My distant pawn I thought made up for the space your bishop had and a knight can be very powerful, even in these kind of spacious games thanks to it's ability to wander on both colors of squares. In 9 cases out of 10 I prefer a knight instead of a bishop in endgames. Maybe because I'm not that aggressive. Someone said "he jumps so terribly" which I like to have has motto :).

It was a draw but I saw that I had some chances to deactivate your bishop and make it defend your centralpawn while forcing your king out the flank. Your aggressivness was a bit incorrect, a bit childish if you don't mind which was punished. You still have drawing chances with possible bishop sacrifice but as long as you can't plombate the space between my pawns I will conquer your hpawn too without loss of material (maybe an exhange which would be suicidal).

No man i agree completely whith i dont know if im to naive but if you see Fritz analysis youll see im right. or at least Fritz backs my play till the point i played Bd3 ?

and also i think im lost at this point. im just trying to give a hard point to you, in the hope that you will miss it. :O)

i dont like your choice of words. im not very good
at finals and thats why i wanted to play it , to learn. but my pondering of the positions was pretty much ok not say correct ;O).

Fritz suggests that this is a win for white but I don't agree. It's a draw. I have, as I said to you, drawed fritz as black- without any problems. White can't advance without loosing a pawn and black can comfortably await the pawn movement to a white square.

Where do you... Get these Fritzses (or however proper english dicates that is be said) for analysis? I have tried to analyze my own games but I find it hard to find my own mistakes.

It is not recommended since there are so many viruses but kazaa is one alternative. Buying it isn't bad either :).

So what should we play next? I'm a bit tired of four knights so let's expolre something else. You as white. How about carokann?
experiment2001 57 ( +1 | -1 )
Ok I've decided to try out ruy lopez exch. var. It should be more positional play and a hell of a game. Once again!

so:
1. e4 e5
2. Nf3 Nc6
3. Bb5 a6
4. Bxc6 dxc6
5. ...

BTW maybe you feel we have something to discuss more about our game. I feel we covered a great deal in the opening and after that there was only natural exchange's untill the endgame. Not much to say about. In the endgame play we both played well and correct untill Bd3?. I couldn't take your other pawn without loosing one and after that black can easily defened the diagonal for a draw.
